Join a community call

The National Work-integrated Learning Accelerator (NWILA) Community Calls are virtual, interactive gatherings designed to connect the vast and diverse network engaged in work-integrated learning (WIL). These calls provide a collaborative space to explore timely topics, share promising practices, and discuss challenges and innovations related to integrating career-connected experiences into learning. The purpose of the calls is to foster peer learning, strengthen relationships across institutions and organizations, and support the continuous improvement and scaling of high-quality WIL opportunities that enhance student success.

From Vision to Scale: Transforming Work-Integrated Learning for All Students

This workshop will highlight a thought-provoking three-part series by Kevin Grubb, Vice President of Work-Based Learning at Strada Education Foundation, which explores what it takes for institutions to scale high-quality work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for all students. Drawing on insights from his work, the series outlines practical strategies for moving from isolated internships and employer partnerships to institution-wide systems that embed career-connected learning across the student experience. Participants will examine key actions institutions can take to build the infrastructure, partnerships, and culture necessary to expand equitable access to meaningful work-based learning opportunities and improve student outcomes.
